Shetland Lace Shawl & Old Patterns

A lady brought in her Shetland Lace Shawl which she knitted 30 years ago but had never blocked it, she's now in her 90's & can't bend down to do it so brought it into The Woolclip for me to do. It's difficult to see the detail but it's absolutely wonderful. Think it was worth the wait!

She taught arts & crafts over about 50 years & had the most amazing collection of crochet & knitting patterns, which she very kindly let us look through & keep what we wanted.

And then when words had a different meaning.....

And who in their right mind would want a knitted swimsuit? You would trying diving would you?
